Have you ever heard of google earth? it's a recently added feature on google which lets the user see parts of the world via satellite. I tried it once, and i saw my house's roof! as well as the family's cars and all. It's actually scary to know that the PUBLIC can easily view your house. Makes you think, it really makes burglary easy. And for $400, people can get and i quote, "the ultimate research, presentation, and collaboration tool for location-specific information". Google's strategy of adding this new feature might bring them more google users but did they think of the consequences before hand? *i'm crapping. sorry* I would think the cons exceeds the pros.

Apart from World Current Events which somehow i have nothing to talk about, MPP will having "Sports Carnival" for the whole of next week! I was chosen as the so called "cheerleader" and now am in charge of all the cheers, making sure everyone knows them.I really think cheering plays an important role in supporting players before, during and after the game. Don't you? Other than that, the Tuesday after Sports Carnival, there'll be Language Night. Each few classes are suppose to give a 10 minute performance. Since the theme is International, our proposal for doing the "Mahsuri" play was wurned down. I'm also excited because it's compulsory for all the students to wear costumes. i'm thinking of going as a present. hahaha. FUN! well. next week then. ta!~

SEMESTER 2

blabbering bout weekly things ends here. current issues are taking place. *jeng*

Ever wondered why theres been dramatic climate changes recently? For instance, The Catrina Hurricane and the Durian Hurricane last year, not forgetting droughts and floods everywhere in the world today and tnhe most recently, ice storms which had caused 3 deaths. Like you've guessed, the answer lies in the ozone layer. It is said that the chlorofluorocarbon(CFC) produced by widely use of refrigerators had thinned it and thus, causing global warming. the ozone layer actually acts like a shield, protecting the earth from ultraviolet rays that researchers found, caused skin cancer and other deadly illnesses.

i believe that the world leaders have been arrogant in the past and only till recently, when catastrophies after catastrophies happen, did they realise the importance of prevention. Well, it's too late now. all we can do now is TRY to overcome the problem.

First things first. PEOPLE. They NEED to know the importance of overcoming global warming. There should be more awareness. Only then, maybe, i would stop seeing people open burning their disposals. Don't they know it's better to bury them than burning them? I get SO darn frustrated seeing them indirectly causing all those unnecessary deaths.
